FOOD ORGANICS AND GARDEN ORGANICS = FOGO!
From 30 June 2025 your green organics bin will be getting greener!
All food scraps and garden clippings will be accepted in the organics bin and it will be collected weekly. Check your collection day here.
Place your organics (FOGO) bin out for collection the evening prior or before 5am.
To help you use the FOGO service, households with a Council waste service will receive a kitchen caddy and 12 months supply of compostable caddy liner bags delivered to your door.
Use the caddy to collect your food scraps and leftovers before placing them in the organics bin.
Remember to remove any packaging or fruit stickers first!
The collected organics are processed into commercial grade compost by ANL and are used by farmers, home gardeners, schools and local sports fields. Completing the cycle from organics bin to garden bed and making a scrap load of difference!
To protect the quality of the final product, we have a team of bin inspectors as well as the Solo collection trucks equipped with cameras that record any incorrect material.
